40Roomors is an art duo based in Greece, active in contemporary textile arts since 2021. The collective consists of Domniki Ntourou, an architect focusing on human scale architecture and interior design, and Yiannis Batsaras, a contemporary artist whose primary medium is graffiti, through which he explores his perception of space and composition.
Both artists are self-taught in textile arts, specializing in tufting, combining other weaving techniques punch needle and vertical loom. Their works are characterized by multi-layered textures, sculpted practices and earthy color palettes, drawing inspiration from natural motifs and imitating materialities through yarn. The scope of their work includes mostly long scale tapestries and art installations.
