Baqué Molinié was born from a shared artistic vision – a desire to explore innovative textile practives and continually invent new methods of making, shaped by seasons, events and creative collaborations.
Laetitia Baqué and Victor Molinié, both graduates of the École Supérieure des Arts Appliqués Duperré in Paris, have worked together many years as textile designers. With backgrounds in both design and applied arts, Laetitia and Victor draw strength from their diverse perspectives. Together, they nurture a dialogue between design and craft, where form and material resonate.
Specializing in embroidery, they continually refine their range of techniques and position their work within the decorative arts, creating pieces of savoir-faire that engage the identity of a place, a story.
In 2018 they co-founded Baqué Molinié and establised their studio at La Cité artisanale de La Villa du Lavoir, a vibrant hub for contemporary artisans in Paris. This creative ecosysteme is a space for experimentation and exchange, where they passionately design and produce unique pieces on site for the world of luxury, fashion and design.
Their team brings together textile and fashion designers, illustrators, and embroidery artisans. Together, they experiment with new ways of thinking and making-cultivating alternative approaches and collective processes.
