Iris Nijenhuis is an Amsterdam-based designer working at the intersection of craftsmanship and innovation. With a background in fashion and product design, she laser cuts textiles into modular, interlocking components, assembled entirely without stitches or glue. She developed her signature technique during her time at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute, where she explored alternative methods of constructing textiles.
Her creations range from bold wearable pieces to sculptural interior objects, each one carefully crafted by hand like a puzzle.
Through hands-on DIY workshops, she also invites others to explore the playful potential of her modular technique.
