French artist and designer MARGAUX DE PENFENTENYO, a graduate of the École Camondo, has built her career around nomadism and multiculturalism. Enriched by the people she meets and the connections she forges throughout her travels, she creates unique or limited-edition pieces of high quality, crafted with respect for the environment (through the use of natural, recyclable, or recycled materials sourced locally) and for people. She is deeply committed to collaborating with Indigenous communities and master artisans, promoting their independence, the preservation of local know-how, and cultural diversity.
Margaux also transforms her gouache paintings into hand-crafted rugs, working closely with renowned workshops such as La Manufacture de Tapis de Bourgogne (EPV label – Living Heritage Company) to bring her designs to life. Currently based in Miami, Florida (USA), her color palette is like a text without words, her creations a medium for a joy she hopes is universal.
For the 2025 Carpet Diem edition, she is represented by the LIDWINE RUPP GALLERY with a rug created especially for the event.
