Francesca Franceschi is an Italian visual artist and textile designer based in Amsterdam. Her practice merges art and design through tapestries, rugs, and textile installations, where colour and material become carriers of emotional narrative. Following years of designing for international brands, she launched her personal project, Superfluo, in 2023, to explore the poetic value of what is often considered unnecessary. Her work investigates chromatic resonance, sensory memory, and material tension through bold, tactile compositions. She has exhibited at CollectionM Gallery (Amsterdam), Object Rotterdam (Rotterdam), and Palazzo della Loggia di Noale (Venice, Italy) and developed a series of wall tapestries in collaboration with the TextileLab at the TextielMuseum in Tilburg.
